For the first time at the LakeComo Festival, the Ligresti-Favero duo presents a program dedicated to the romantic repertoire inspired by elves, fairies and enchanted creatures.
Music by Mendelssohn, Grieg, Kreisler
Enzo Ligresti graduated in 1989 at “Benedetto Marcello” Conservatory in Venice under the guidance of Aldo Nardo with honors. In 1991 he obtained his diploma under the guidance of Corrado Romano at the International Academy of Music of Biella with the result of “Excellent with special mention”. Subsequently, always with Corrado Romano, he attended the Geneva Conservatory and in 1994 he won the First Prize of “Virtuosité” with special mention, the “Prix Henry Stern” and the “Prix Maggy Brettmayer”.
Valter Favero graduated in piano at the “A. Steffani” Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto, under the guidance of Maestro Massimo Somenzi, with full marks and honors, obtaining a merit and scholarship diploma. Student of cellist Mario Brunello for chamber music, he attended the Master Classes conducted by pianists Lev Vlasenko, Michail Voskresensky and Anatolj Vedernikov, teachers at the Moscow Conservatory. He studied with Maestro Pier Narciso Masi for the piano and also attended the chamber music course set up by the Piano Academy of Imola and held by pianists Dario De Rosa and Mauren Jones.
